Grah

I hate the times when I am so anxious about work and life that I wake up and my thoughts are scattered in four hundred different directions, most of them unproductive. (sigh)

But on that note - what do you think is the best music for working on job applications? I got motivated to finally rip this one Enya CD (Paint the Sky with Stars) for the purpose. So maybe more stuff in that vein - cheesy and positive to dull the pain.

Okay, back to work.

Something calm? But cheerful?

Wichita Lineman as covered by Sergio Mendes (in general I tend to be a found of Sergio Mendes for that Bossa Nova beat)
The Model by Belle & Sebastian (I am always down for Baroque pop. I have a thing for strings and harpsichord used in pop songs.)
Come on and Move Me by The Monarchs
My Girl by The Temptations. (this is truly one of the most perfect pop songs ever made just for its pure joy, it is beautifully layered. It feels like Summer.)
Where you Lead I Follow by Carole King. Her voice brings me serenity.
Pre-Road Downs by Crosby Stills and Nash. Tight harmonies, guitar goodness. Mmmm god it makes me smile to listen to it.
Oh Maker by Janelle Monae (I love her voice. She is a true talent)
Sun Go Down by Fat Night (very chill. Very cheerful. A bit of that sunshine pop feel.)
Let's Stay Together by Al Green (warning. This song might make you stop and groove a little. But that is okay. You need that.)
