My brother coined this term in response to "hangry."

Things are currently stacking up in such a fashion that I am unsure about how long I am going to be working at a frenzied sprint before I will have an opportunity to take a break.

Part of this is my own fault for biting off more than I can chew. No one is making me sign up for the 600k this weekend, after all.

I am still not certain whether it was wise to come to this conference, although the chance for some desert time plus catching up with people has been wonderful.

I am curious: now that PBP is done, what is your inspiration?

Beats me!

...okay, not entirely. There are a bunch of other awards that one can theoretically earn through RUSA. The first time you complete a full brevet series (200, 300, 400, and 600k), you become a Super Randonneur. If you complete a total of 10 series, you become an Ultra Randonneur. Along with that, if you complete at least a 200k every month for a year, you can earn the R-12 award. I am just one 600k away from earning my fifth Super Randonneur. I don't exactly care about the awards, but I really do like going on these super-long rides.

I should have known there'd be an intra-pbp motivation programme.

I think it's more that I know I am the most consistent about exercising if I have *some* sort of goal on the horizon. I'm actually going to switch over to focusing more on rowing when I move out to the Bay Area. Last night, scrottie was commenting that he doesn't think he would want to do brevets in California, based on everything we know about the landscape (crowdedness) and CA drivers.

Also, I cannot overemphasize how nice it is to ride bikes out in the countryside here. I know CO has its own perks, but NE's amazing in certain respects - very, very low traffic, courteous drivers, tons of smooth pavement, rolling hills.
