Hot tub time machine repair

So, we have a hot tub in the backyard. The whole time I've been here so far (6 months already!), it has worked for a total of about 4 days. The heating element was replaced, but there seems to be some kind of unidentified electrical problem at work. What kind of expert should be called in?

At least locally there are companies that specialize in hot tubs and saunas, although fireplace repair companies also seem to do at least some work in that space.

With that said, if it is an electrical problem it's possible the hot tub company would subcontract it to an electrician. The plus side being they'd probably choose an electrician who actually knows something about hot tubs.

Valid points. I'm pretty sure there are hot tub specialists in this neck o' the woods, especially seeing as there's some sort of sauna/spa place about a mile away from us. So it would make sense for us to just go in that direction with respect to diagnosis/repair.

As it turns out, I have found someone who looks like a reasonable lead via Yelp. One guy who runs his own repair business and has a good-looking track record. If he can't sort out the electrical issues I have a good feeling he'll have a good idea of how to proceed. Now we just have to shoehorn in the whole project of actually contacting the guy and scheduling him to come out (my least favorite part of things!).
