Another one rides the bus

(appropriately, to the tune of "Another one bites the dust")
(https://youtu.be/tZkouut-9RQ and https://youtu.be/rY0WxgSXdEE)

Snow on the ground this morning, just enough to add a bit of slip and uncertainty over road conditions.

[personal profile] scrottie did a bunch of work to get the Jolly Roger reasonably rideable again, setting aside the caveat of potential failure, so I thought, well, maybe it's time to switch over. I am just not so sure about riding Froinlavin through snow and ice.

I put air in the JR's front tire, but then discovered that the front derailleur would require adjustment, in addition to needing to adjust the saddle on the newly shimmed seatpost.

Too many question marks, not enough time to spare: I have office hours starting at 10 am on Wednesdays so I MUST be there.

I checked what the Goog recommended for buses and went out to stand and wait for the number 100 traveling in the counterclockwise direction.

Now I know I need to just suck it up and walk over to the 182 because it will take the same amount of time, will net me at least a little exercise, and won't cost me an extra $1.30. An hour bus commuting does not make me a happy person but at least I don't have to do the driving.

I should probably get some spiked tires, too. How much do you want to bet that they won't be fender compatible?
