Belle and Sebastian

I have tried, multiple times, to like Belle and Sebastian. I know people who fervently adore Belle and Sebastian.

I tried again last night.

I just...don't. I am ambivalent about the sounds that are generated and come out of the speakers.

Farewell, copies of Belle and Sebastian CDs.

They are one of the few bands I tried to get into because people I thought were cool thought B+S were cool.

That went about as well as one might imagine. :p

I don't like them either anymore, if I ever really did! The world is too harsh for such twee to be sufferable.

Ha, this is a hilarious perspective.

I found the cover from a very old mixed tape you made me at some point in high school (I think it had a whole bunch of Tori Amos on it). I'm pretty sure I listened to that tape so many times it stretched out and broke. Music's interesting stuff.

I listen to their circa-2001 stuff as entire albums, but their more recent stuff ... I can take maybe two songs before I'm pretty much done.

The old cartoon is still adorable.

Somehow, though, this Boards of Canada album has some interesting and worthwhile elements to it.

I was wrong - that was Neutral Milk Hotel. Currently seeing about the Boards of Canada. Both albums that came from someone who gave me a whole bunch of awesome and interesting music about 8 years ago.
